POCKLINGTON Carpets is celebrating after its work won the Installation of the Month title in a national trade magazine.
The team installed 125sq m of bespoke carpet, woven to look like oak, at The French – the new restaurant at Manchester’s The Midland Hotel.
The work featured in an article in Flooring Journal Magazine, praising the firm alongside Wiltshire-based Wilton Carpets, which manufactured the carpet.
Gavin Donohue, operations director at Pocklington Carpets, said: “Local clients do not always realise how far we travel as a local company with expertise in large hotel installations.
“We are very pleased to have some recognition for one of the prestige installations that our contracts team undertakes. It is highly skilled work that our retail customers do not get to see. It is the second time we have been involved in the award. “Other works include custom woven carpet to match an old photo when we supplied a custom woven carpet for the Titanic exhibition in Belfast. We use our own contracts fitting team with local staff that we have trained.”
